About

Marian Girls High school was established in 1997 by the Holy Ghost Fathers (E.A. Province) in Bagamoyo ancient town. The place where the school is situated was formerly know as Marian Free Village in the 18th century. The School was built under the guidance and management of the founder, Fr. Valentino Bayo of the Holy Ghost Fathers.

Marian community enjoys a growing reputation for its outstanding contribution to the society. It has worked consistently hard for its place within the society through the pioneering efforts of teachers, innovative and dynamic efforts of the general community.

We commenced as Marian Girls Secondary School in 1997 and were witnessed molding into Marian Pre and Primary in 2002, Marian Boys in 2009, Epiphany Dispensary in 2012, Stella Maris Hotel and Marian University in October 2014. Marian has forged an identity characterized by centrality of faith, discipline, work ethic in academics, music and sports compassion and concern for those in need and appreciated sense of multicultural diversity.

We hold our great reputation in the hands of our current students and hope to pass it on to future students.

Welcome to the Marian Girls' High School!

The School offers Ordinary Level certificate studies Form I -IV and Advanced Level certificate studies Forms V- VI. The School combinations are PCB, PCM, PGM, CBG, HGL, HGE, HKL

It is a great pleasure to have you on board as a member of the Marian Community. I am very excited about embarking on this journey of educating children with each of you. I look forward to us getting to know one another, to building warm and caring relationships along the way, and to creating a professional environment of which everyone is enthusiastic to be a part. Teachers are by far the biggest asset that a school has.

The school has 63 teaching staff and 40 non teaching staff, your care for and dedication to students is what makes a school great.

Works closely with administration te am, teachers, and school matrons to ensure that the students get integral wholistic formation (physically, mentally, spiritually, intellectually, psychologically, socially and emotionally). In other words to bring up a whole rounded person, to fit in the rapidly changing world.

Guides and counsels students to be in touch with themselves, so that, they develop self-awareness and develop self-esteem, hence develop self-confidence, which enables them to work hard to achieve their dreams.

Also Works closely with school chaplain to ensure students are catered for spiritually and develop moral values, to enable them to live in harmony and tolerance with each other in spite of their diversities.

All is done for the Glory of the Most High. And with God everything is possible.
